A home is more than just a house.

We can all relate to that feeling of coming home after a long day and exhaling for the first time as we enter our safe place.  Our homes are literally a sanctuary to calm and caress our souls when the world's demands seem to take more than it gives.  Home provides us with a space for family to gather and to share our innermost feelings. 

But just imagine if your home has been a 6x9 cell surrounded with bars with a less than comfortable sleeping arrangement and a subpar environment for personal hygiene.  And think for a moment how you might feel if your children were living with strangers and fully dependent upon them for the love and nurturing that you cannot currently provide due to choices that led you to where you are now.  The word "hope" might seem like a distant and elusive concept to these women. They feel like despair is the only thing flowing through their lives.  And waves of destruction have been pounding their family ties until they are essentially threadbare.  

But we stand together to show them that hope springs eternal from what may seem hopeless at the moment.  Through our construction and development partnerships, Hope Springs Housing is empowered to delivering safe, comfortable and no-cost housing alternatives to reunite these mothers with their children on a clear path to self-sufficiency.  

These newly emancipated women once tried to find their way in the world, but it found its way inside of them instead. But now their past is their past. And they presently have a chance to rebuild and reclaim their birthright to a full and promising future filled with hope. Working closely with our community partners and the holistic wrap-around services provided, Hope Springs Housing can open the door to a new way of life.
