After more than 15 years serving the needs of hundreds of families within our affiliate partner CHRIS 180, our founder witnessed the need to expand our capacity to provide housing for women re-entering society and rebuilding their lives after incarceration. The objective would become to provide them with a stable housing environment for reunification with their dependent children. Hope Springs Housing was thus established in 2022 as a 501c(3) to create the housing inventory needed to support the efforts of our community partners.

Hope Springs Housing was founded upon the principle that a housing-first approach provides women a second chance to renew the bond between a rehabilitated mother and her dependent children by creating a safe and supportive home environment. Working with our community partners, the reunited family receives an extensive wrap around of case management and support services including individual and family counseling and other services necessary to heal the family and repair the bond. The result is a more successful re-entry outcome for the mother, lowered rates of reincarceration and a reduction in the number of children unnecessarily remaining in foster care.
